MINNEAPOLIS – The U.S. Small Business Administration has named WomenVenture the 2022 Minnesota Women’s Business Center of the Year. In recognition of National Small Business Week, SBA’s Minnesota District will recognize its 2022 state winners at local events in the weeks ahead.
WomenVenture was chosen for its excellence and innovation in training, counseling culturally and economically diverse women entrepreneurs, and serving as a community champion for women-owned small businesses.
“WomenVenture’s support of entrepreneurs through the SBA’s Women’s Business Center Program is just one small part of the overall picture of how they help women create good businesses and good jobs,” said SBA Minnesota District Director Brian McDonald. “We are thrilled to be able to support their efforts and to honor them with this award.”
WomenVenture WBC equips women with the skills and resources to create and grow profitable and sustainable businesses through business training programs, access to small business loans, business mentorship, networking opportunities, and one-on-one business advice to entrepreneurs from startups to multi-million dollar businesses.
In addition to being recognized for excellence in Minnesota, WomenVenture was also chosen as the 2022 SBA Great Lakes Region’s Women’s Business Center of the Year.
