At WomenVenture, we know that you donate to our organization because you are personally inspired to help entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses. We make the most of every donation we receive, using the funds we raise to empower female entrepreneurs to achieve their economic goals by building profitable and sustainable businesses that transform communities. With the support of our donors, we are able to offer training programs, access to capital, and business consulting services to budding and established entrepreneurs, like Amy DePoint, Dannell Shu, Tonya Jenkins, and many others.

You can help future Amys, Dannells, and Tonyas by contributing through a variety of methods, including but not limited to:
- Check: Donating by check is often the most convenient and direct way of giving. Check payments can be mailed to our office [165 Western Ave N Suite 8, Office #100, St Paul, MN 55102] or delivered in-person by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled by emailing donations@womenventure.org.
- Credit Card: Credit card payments are an efficient and effective way of making donations that can help sustain nonprofits throughout the year. Contributions can be made on either a one-time or recurring basis in just a few seconds using our online donation portal.
3. ‘Qualified Charitable Distributions’ from Your Retirement Account: People 70.5 and older can donate funds from their IRA accounts directly to qualifying nonprofits through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). This payment can be made as part of your Required Minimum Distributions (RMD), which are the legally required withdrawals that must be made from your pre-tax retirement account after the age of 73. This donation is not counted toward your taxable income and can help you save on income tax payments. To learn more about this option, contact your IRA custodian.
There are also many programs which are designed to facilitate charitable giving, making it easier for you to make donations and have a lasting impact on your community. We’ll be writing about a few of these programs in our 4-Part Ways of Giving series, which will be released over the next several weeks.
For any immediate questions or assistance with making your charitable donations, reach out to donations@womenventure.org.
