WomenVenture loan client, Amber Thielen, is the owner of Vibe Organic Juice Bar.
Amber Thielen, owner of Vibe Organic Juice Bar, spent over 20 years working in a corporate setting. After trying a juice cleanse on a trip to California and consuming only fruits and vegetables for a week, she realized that the types of food with which we fuel our bodies matter and she set off on a quest to live healthier. She obtained her health coach certificate and spent two years researching the juicing industry. She also attended WomenVenture’s business planning course. When her corporate position was eliminated in March of 2017, she saw it as the push she needed to fulfill her childhood dream of owning her own business.
Amber found the perfect location in St. Louis Park for her juice bar. However, she needed funding to build out the space and properly set up her business. So she turned to WomenVenture for a small business loan and some technical assistance. Vibe opened in late March of this year and has already been well received by the community.
“When I was a little girl,” says Amber, “I never fantasized about wedding dresses; I always dreamed of owning my own business. As a certified health coach, I’m passionate about helping other people feel and live healthier. With Vibe Organic Juice Bar, I can provide the freshest ingredients, sourced locally, and contribute to the health and well-being of the community.”
Vibe Organic Juice Bar specializes in 100% organic, cold-pressed juices, which means the juice is unpasteurized, full of healthy enzymes, and made fresh daily in small batches. Amber worked with a former chef at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas to develop juice recipes that are both delicious tasting and good for you. There are 9 varieties of juices, including 4 green juices, a carrot blend, a beet blend, and other colors of the rainbow. They also offer an array of smoothies that are made from whole fruits and plant-based milks, without added sugars, ice, or carrageenan. Unique to Vibe, many of the smoothies include essential oils to boost energy and promote healing.
In addition to juices and smoothies, Vibe Organic Juice Bar serves wellness shots, salads with homemade dressings, raw pizzas, vegetable sandwiches, açaí bowels, and kombucha water on tap.
