In the heart of Black History Month, we honor the extraordinary journey of Chaz Sandifer, a shining example of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs. As the visionary founder and CEO of theNEWmpls, Let Go Let Flow, and Stories Behind the Menu, she epitomizes the entrepreneurial spirit. With a deep commitment to promoting wellness, equity, and community, she embodies the transformative power of business ownership, especially for African American women. Additionally, as a valued member of the WomenVenture Board and a seat holder on the WomenVenture loan committee, Chaz Sandifer not only blazes her own trail to success but also extends a helping hand to guide others on their entrepreneurial journeys.
Chaz Sandifer’s foray into entrepreneurship is a tale of resilience, transformation, and empowerment. Chaz’s journey began over a decade ago during a transition from corporate America, sparked by personal challenges. Weathering the storm of adversity, Sandifer found solace in the entrepreneurial realm, catapulting her into a journey of self-discovery and communal upliftment. “I discovered the power to heal from within while extending a helping hand to fellow women embarking on their own quests for success,” she shares.
Sandifer’s path wasn’t without its share of hurdles. “Believing in yourself sounds cliché, but it’s real,” she chuckles. “There were days I had to remind myself why I started. But hey, that’s the entrepreneurial rollercoaster for you!” Through perseverance and unwavering focus, she learned to navigate the ebb and flow of entrepreneurship.
For Sandifer, being a black entrepreneur is synonymous with freedom and self-expression. “It’s about rewriting the narrative, reclaiming our stories,” she declares passionately. “As African Americans, our history has often been scripted by others. Now, it’s our turn to wield the pen, to chart our destinies unapologetically.”
