Position Title: Child Care Business Specialist
Department: Training
FLSA Status: Full time, exempt
Location: 85% Virtual/15% in person
Salary: $55,000 – $66,000 / year
Position Summary:
The Child Care Business Specialist is responsible for supporting child care providers across Minnesota by delivering business courses, workshops, 1:1 consultations, and cohort-style teaching, while also providing access to resources, community connections, and capital through business loans and grants.
Key responsibilities include supporting the Child Care Business Director, collaborating across departments on joint client efforts, curriculum development and revision, data collection and reporting, teaching in both cohort-style and individualized formats, and expanding WomenVenture’s service footprint to reach more communities. The specialist will actively build partnerships with child care stakeholders, recruit new providers into WomenVenture’s programs, and contribute to the creation of new programming and services tailored to child care businesses.
This position requires the ability to travel throughout Minnesota and work a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasional Saturdays.
