Biography
Joan has 35 years of experience as an executive assistant and project manager at Securian Financial. Her roles include assistant to the CEO and CFO, meeting prep for the Board of Trustees and Strategy Council, and project manager for the enterprise strategy team. She also managed Securian’s sponsorship of the MN Cup and the OnRamp Insurance Accelerator which introduced her to startups and working with entrepreneurs. Joan looks forward to bringing her skills and experience to WomenVenture as an Administrative Assistant.
In her free time, Joan enjoys walking, reading, baking bread and gardening. She is a docent at the University of Minnesota, CBS Conservatory and Botanical Collection, leading tours for school groups.
Joan has two grown children and lives in Como Park.
